Expat Meetups
Heading abroad? Meet the expats who'll be there too.
Tell us where and when you're going. When other members will be in the same city at the same time, we'll introduce you — for a coffee, a dinner or a walk around the neighbourhood you're scouting.
- Free, always. No membership tiers, no paid messages.
- Planned around your trip, not just where you are today.
- Friendship only. This is not a dating service.

This spot is open.
Expat Meetups is looking for one presenting sponsor for its launch year — your brand here, in every match email, and at every group dinner we host.

Takes about a minute. We'll only email you about matches.
How it works
- Tell us your trip. Where you're going, your dates, and what kind of meetup you'd enjoy.
- We look for overlaps. When other members will be in the same place at the same time, we email you both with a short intro.
- You decide whether to meet. Say yes and we'll connect you. Say nothing and your details stay private.
Meeting safely
Most people you'll meet are just like you: curious, a little nervous, and glad of a friendly face. A few simple habits keep it that way.
Meet in public first
A café, restaurant or busy square, in daylight if you can.
Tell someone your plans
Share where you're going and who you're meeting.
Never send money
No genuine member will ask you for money, gifts or financial details. If someone does, report them.
Report anything odd
Email info@theglobalexpathub.com. We review every report and remove members who break our guidelines.
Community guidelines
The short version — by joining Expat Meetups you agree to these:
- Members must be 18 or older. One sign-up per person, with your real first name and an email you actually read.
- Expat Meetups is friendship only — it is not a dating service. Using it to pursue dates or romantic contact is grounds for removal.
- Introductions are made by us, by email — there is no public profile and no open messaging.
- Your contact details are never shared without your consent. We first email both members a short introduction with first names only; only when both say yes do we connect you by email. Saying nothing is a no.
- Meet in public first, tell someone your plans, and never send money. No genuine member will ask you for money, gifts, gift cards or financial details.
- Be kind, honest and reliable. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or unwanted repeated contact. If someone says no or stops replying, that ends it.
- No selling, recruiting, MLM pitches or promoting businesses to other members, and no asking for money, loans, investments or financial help of any kind.
- Don't share another member's contact details with anyone else.
- Report anything odd to info@theglobalexpathub.com — every report is read by a person. We may pause or remove any member who breaks these guidelines, and members removed for dating use, money requests or harassment are not readmitted.
You are in charge of your own safety and decisions. The Global Expat Hub introduces members to one another but does not vet, screen or supervise meetings.
Your privacy, in plain terms
- What we collect: your first name and email address; your destination country and city; your arrival and departure dates; what best describes you and what you'd be up for; and your confirmations that you are 18 or older and agree to the guidelines. We do not ask for your surname, home address, phone number, payment details or ID.
- How we use it: only to find your matches and email you about them. That's it.
- Sharing: your email address is shared only when both you and a match say yes, and only with that member. We never sell, rent or trade your details, and reports to our sponsor are aggregate numbers only — your personal details are never given to the sponsor or anyone else.
- How long we keep it: while your trip is upcoming and for a short period after your departure date, and in all cases your sign-up is deleted within 12 months of your departure date.
- Your choices: email info@theglobalexpathub.com to delete or correct your details at any time, and we'll confirm by email. Reply "no more matches" to any match email and we'll remove you from matching.
Expat Meetups is run by The Global Expat Hub LLC. Our general Privacy Policy also applies.
