Aria Hotel Budapest

Library Hotel Collection · Music-themed luxury boutique hotel beside St Stephen's Basilica in the historic centre

Aria Hotel Budapest stands on Hercegprímás utca in the historic centre of Pest, directly beside St Stephen's Basilica — the largest church in Hungary and the anchor of the city's most elegant square. From this corner, the Danube promenade, the Chain Bridge and Andrássy Avenue are all an easy walk, which makes the hotel a practical base for a first scouting trip as much as a celebratory stay.

The hotel is built entirely around music. Its four wings are themed by genre — Classical, Opera, Jazz and Contemporary — and the rooms and suites take their cues from the composers and performers of each world, with bold interiors, instruments and artwork worked into the design. Downstairs, the public spaces continue the theme, from the piano-shaped details of the lobby to Café Liszt, the hotel's café and restaurant named for Hungary's most famous composer.

Music is not just decoration here. The Music Garden restaurant hosts live performances every night, moving between classical, swing, Latin and pop, and the hotel lays on a complimentary afternoon wine and cheese reception for guests. Breakfast is served in the same spirit — unhurried, in rooms that look onto the Basilica square.

Above it all, the High Note SkyBar fills the rooftop with a 360-degree panorama: the Basilica's dome at eye level on one side, the Buda hills on the other. Below, the Harmony Spa offers an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and whirlpool — a useful taste of Budapest's spa culture without leaving the building. For expats testing District V living, Aria puts the city's grandest neighbourhood on the doorstep.
